When the time is right

When the time is right you will know it.

I have heard this phrase many times in my life. Many times I thought is was "the time" and it turned out it wasn't. You always know when it's not, but never when it is.

As my darling husband and I ponder our future, our dreams, and our goals, I always wonder...when will the time be right? When can we get our dream, our land, our house?

We worry about bills, children, more bills, credit ratings, our health. But we don't worry about our future, our dreams, our goals. Somehow we trust that "when the time is right" we will get what we are looking for.

In the meantime, we continue to do our everyday thing. We work, we pay our bills, we take care of kids, dogs, cats, and fish.

And still we dream about when the time is right....

  1. Start making some goals. Get a map. Decide how far is acceptable to drive for work issues. Lower your standards. It doesn't have to be perfect.

Start driving out by properties. Read local newspapers and check out the bulletin boards. My son's property was listed on Tuesday, we looked at it on Wednesday and put a contract on it on Thursday. But God answered our prayers for guidance and wisdome and we knew he was making the correct choice. Sometimes there are for sale by owner signs. Real estate agents only get the list the property for sale for a certain length of time. Often it doesn't sell and they don't give it back to real estate to sell. But they still want to sell. Knock on a few doors or call. Got to work at it.

    1. We have our map! LOL
We are staying in our rental one more year so we can save more and get what we really want.
We put it in HIS hands, and I know that when we are ready He will show us our new place.

  2. Really enjoying your writing! I have never found that the time was "just right" for anything - not for buying my first home, not for having children, and not for buying our little farm. Just do it, and the rest will fall into place.

    1. Thanks so much Kate.
And you're right. Sometimes the time is never right.
Things are slowly falling into place now. It doesn't always seem like the right time, but looking back we have found that it was.
