It's slowish at work (I telecommute) so I have a bit of downtime here and there.
And in that downtime I'm working on these:
Pretty, simple cotton dishcloths.
I will hand dye these this weekend. Not sure of the colors yet.
It's good to pick up a needle on slow days. It keeps the hands busy and productive.
And out of the Dorito's bag...
I admire the patience of those that sew, or nit. I have moments of rage just tying my shoes.
ReplyDeleteThis also helps me from trying to strangle JW sometimes. LOL
DeleteFor god's sake, put down the CHEETOS!!
ReplyDeleteBut they are soooooo good!
DeleteI crochet my own dish cloths too but never thought of hand dying them. Do you use Ritz dye? Are they colorfast when you're done? How interesting!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping in at my place and signing up for more. I love meeting new people, so welcome!
Blessings,
Red
Thanks so much Red!
DeleteI use the Kool Aid and food dye method here http://www.dyeyouryarn.com/.
Once they are done dyeing and they are rinsed well, they hold the color well.
It's a cheap way to add a bit of color. And so easy.
My wife crochets a lot. Even made coats for our three small dogs. She seems to like to keep her hands busy.
ReplyDeleteI am the same way. I like to stay busy, even if I'm watching TV.
DeleteI've been crocheting since I was 8, and I love it!
